Week 6 – Smartphone Android


Bought a smartphone android. This as a main controller user interface. Just use one only. It can use for long time. Need the smart phone which has wifi/internet for connect to a internet modem. The smartphone must the version 2.1 or latest, with Wifi.

Week 5 – Arduino

Here’s somewhat a summarise for what component that I’ll be using;



1. Arduino UNO - as a main board.
2. Chassis - will be using  a plastic mounting base to reduce the weight.
3. Smartphone Android - as a main controller user interface.
4. RF circuit - using as a controller connect with other power circuit.
5. Lamp and Fan - as a home equipment(model).
6. internet modem - as a hub connection between smartphone and Arduino.

Week 4 – Title approval

My title has been approved and appeared on FYP BMI website.

Week 2 – Title submission

Development of Home Automation Controller

This week need to submit a name/title for FYP, and it is done.

Week 1 – FYP briefing

First week of new semester. FYP briefing for Degree semester 1 is held in TTL2.

Problem Statements

  • When we go out,some time we forgot whether the equipment in  our home is close or not and for go back to home is something sticky and need lot of work. it is good if we can just check it by something easy to visualize. 
  • Some time we go out overtime, at the night we need look our home like has people. It just switch on the lamp but for do that we far from home.

Abstract

I decided to create a system which we can control power by using phone. This system uses internet+android to control power at  home. The internet connect with arduino, arduino act as controller circuit to equipment in house. It will combine with radio  frequency circuits. This system we control from smartphone android,we choose which equipment want to on/off and the equipment on/off follow by our choose. This system always on depend on our connection internet.
